Who are you?
I am an all American girl. Growing up in Southern California taught me to embrace being a free spirit, going to college in San Francisco helped feed my creative genes, and living in Manhattan’s East Village made me realize there are so many outlets to explore. I like to consider myself domestic. I love lemon meringue pie and my favorite color is gray.
How did Era happen?
After years of being an event coordinator, I found my niche in design. I love the freedom and creativity in working with brides and the imagination involved with making each wedding unique. My love of flowers, furniture, and festivities led to Era.
Why vintage?
I am a self-diagnosed shopaholic, and when I find something I must have, I can’'t wait to share it. The idea that each of my vintage pieces has lived such an ample life with so many stories to tell excites me. The chance to give them more life and use them in unorthodox ways to tell new stories excites me even more.
How does it work?
There are a few ways Era works. Different pieces can be rented individually, as a scene (such as a seating area at a reception, a sweet heart table, or a vintage candy bar) or as a complete reception package. Pieces can be rented with “no strings attached” for you to play out your own design; we can brainstorm together and I can sketch ideas for you to execute on your own; or we can come up with a theme and entire design concept that my team and I will administer the day of the event.
